On the Feast of St. James

One of the girls baked dessert for today's feast of St. James! 🐚 {Recipe at Catholic Cuisine}
Saint James the Greater from Catholic Folk ToysSaints: A Year in Faith and Art

O glorious Apostle, St. James, who by reason of thy fervent and generous heart wast chosen by Jesus to be a witness of His glory on Mount Tabor, and of His agony in Gethsemane; Thou, whose very name is a symbol of warfare and victory: obtain for us strength and consolation in the unending warfare of this life, that, having constantly and generously followed Jesus, we may be victors in the strife and deserve to receive the victor's crown in heaven. Amen.

St. James the Greater, ora pro nobis!

  1. Thank you! St. James is very important to me. I went on pilgrimage last year twice to Medjugorje and the parish there is Saint James. I uploaded a documentary on Medjugorje you can watch it following link below and if you or your family ever have a chance to go I can give you information on it. I am going again in October. Thank you for the encouragement of such a beautiful faithful family. Love Traci Veno Portland, Oregon https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLe6ejRkgwC... Also there are testimonies here on it. http://marytv.tv/?page_id=167 I am number 239 but they are all wonderful :) Thanx!!!

    1. Hello Traci, I was just on this blog and saw your post. I am a parishioner of Father James Gordon in Colorado Springs. Father Gordon has documentation that Medjugorje has been officially condemned by the church. Father Gordon is away currently. Forgive me for volunteering Jessica, but I'm sure Jessica could talk to him and provide the documention since he is her brother in law and could contact him. Forgive me Jessica for just intruding on your blog. But, in obedience to Charity I could not ignore. I enjoy your blog and admire your love and devotion to God and your family and May God reward you! Also, Father Gordon speaks very highly of you. Please pray for me! God bless!
