“Yet Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay and You our Potter: we are all the work of Your hand.” ~ Isaiah 64:7
We are three-quarters of the way through this week’s Pro-Life Prints project! Today’s Lesson 3 was all about “Helping Others.” We discussed the importance of helping others and how we always need to treat others with respect, kindness, and love.
Our five year old loves to include his toys whenever possible and brought out the elephants he received for his birthday last month as soon as he saw that we were going to be rereading Horton Hears a Who! I also pulled out a couple other books that tied in nicely to today’s theme: Roses in the Snow: A Tale of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary and LOVE from The Very Hungry Caterpillar
.: Standing Up for Others :.
“A person’s a person, no matter how small.”
– Horton Hears a Who! by Dr. Seuss

Horton Hears a Who!
.: Pro-Life Rose :.
“Like a rose, every human being is beautiful and delicate.”

Roses in the Snow: A Tale of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary
.: Pro-Life Butterfly :.
“Preborn babies are delicate like a butterfly.
We have to protect and pray for them!”

LOVE from The Very Hungry Caterpillar
(We also talked about all the flutters I’ve been feeling lately… Our own preborn baby is very active!)

I love these Pro Life projects of yours! The timing of the first post was a perfect antidote to the pro-death activities in the news. Seeing these vibrant, happy souls learning about the sanctity of life gives me hope for the future. God bless you all!

I just love all of the artwork done by your little ones. What a lovely Rose idea! I am sure this was a fun activity for your Little Rose especially…Wonderful story books too. How special it was for you to celebrate LIFE with your children! I continue to keep you in my prayers each day Jessica. You are one month closer to the arrival of your precious one. I pray that you are feeling much better from your virus' and infections. Hopefully you are able to get lots of good rest. I had a complicated pregnancy with twins 34 years ago and I know how important the blessing of rest was for me. God's many healthy blessings to you Jessica.

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.
