Leaf Man :: A Picture Book Inspired Craft for Fall

Leaf Man by Lois Ehlert

After a rainy morning, the sun came back out so we headed outside to gather some fall leaves for an afternoon craft inspired by a picture book we picked up at the library today...

"This is the same type of craft you used to do with us when we were little... only cooler!"
- Captain, age 16  (I think this is what he's remembering... hahah!)

  2. What a great idea! Do you spray it to keep it?

    1. I didn't spray them. I suppose we could have sprayed them before using them for the craft (or maybe decoupage them?) to preserve the color, but we'll probably just keep/display their finished craft pages for a little while and not save them... we'll just save the pictures this time! :)

  4. So pretty and fun! Unfortunately, here in south Louisiana, we have green leaves that just turn brown, die, and fall to the ground. No color changing to speak of! Maybe we need a road trip to go find FALL!

  5. So cute! I love how they are each so different too. Great job to your children! Fall is my favorite season, but so far still summery here. I have a super cute knitted pumpkin cloth giveaway going on right now from a lovely etsy shop, in case you might be interested in it. You always give so many opportunities for great giveaways that I just wanted to share. :). God bless!
