Thanksgiving Stories

*It is going to take me a long time to sort through all the books on our shelves and list them by feast days!  I will continue updating this post as I find and/or purchase new books for our collection… And I hope to continue working on the rest of the year as well.

You can find links to all my book lists here

Thank you! This list is very helpful! I'm working on making monthly baskets to celebrate the liturgical year and this is exactly what I needed! It also tells me where to find the saint stories in the books I already have. : )

What a beautiful collection! Sorry this is off-topic—I just wondered if you ever had any negative experiences with swagbucks. I saw you mention it a few times, and I wondered if there was a catch or if it is as simple as it seems. Thanks and God bless!

Hmmm…. Where have I mentioned swagbucks? If I have it must have quite awhile ago. I've run across the site a few times (I think I might have signed up once upon a time) but do not currently use it myself and am not really familiar with how it works.

Yay! These lists are going to be so helpful for me as well, when I am trying to remember which books have the stories about various saints! 🙂

Thanks! We don't ever get to all the books each year, but I love that we have such a great variety to choose from.

Oh. Sorry about that. I thought you mentioned getting Amazon gift cards through it. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! God bless, and congratulations on your additional Latin Masses. How exciting!

I do get Amazon gift cards/credit, but it is all from my Amazon visa card and it shows up right in my Amazon acct each month. I think it's 3% rewards on Amazon purchases and 1% on everything else and it adds up and we just pay the cc's in full each month.

Ooh! You know what I probably mentioned?! Ebates!! I have gotten Amazon gift cards from them, and I love Ebates! If you are interested you can join through my Tell-a-friend link here 🙂

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.
