Glorious Nativity :: A Puzzle for Advent

by | Dec 9, 2012 | Advent and Christmas, Advent Puzzles, Christmas 2012, Puzzles | 10 comments

Our children are getting so fast at putting together these puzzles!   Last Sunday, on the First Sunday of Advent, we gave them a new puzzle, as I mentioned in one of my Preparing for Advent posts this year, and they completed it last night…   I didn’t even get to help with it this year!

I hope your Advent is off to a blessed start!

How pretty…I want to get a puzzle for us to do, but worry the little ones will just mess it up…I love the rosary hooks I saw in the back ground…

Wow, wonderful teamwork and focus on this pretty puzzle! Your children obviously work well together… you and your hubby have instilled the right virtues in your children. May God bless your family as he prepares your hearts for Christmas.

I also ordered this puzzle after reading your post about it!! Thank you for the recommendation!! It looks so beautiful completed! I'm trying to figure out a good spot to leave it out in our small house…a place where we can all work on it but where little hands won't be able to take apart the finished parts or lose the pieces. I'm thinking of scrounging around in our shop for a piece of wood that would be big enough to hold the completed puzzle and that way I could just move it to wherever is convienent for us all to work on it, and put it up when we need the space for something else. Can't wait to get started on it, hopefully my children won't finish it without me because I love puzzles!! 🙂

Wow – beautiful job! That is quite an accomplishment!! Such a lovely puzzle, too. 🙂 We're just getting started our first "family" puzzle, which is also 1000 pieces. I was a little worried that I may have picked something too complicated for our first one, but I'm encouraged to see how much your children enjoy it (and how fast they put it together, lol!).
Also…your home/Christmas decor looks so pretty & cozy (peeking into the background of your pics!). 🙂
    Have a blessed day!

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.
