These came out so well! I need to remember to save some of our received Christmas cards this year, so we can do something like this in the future 🙂

Yes, do save some of your Christmas Cards! I keep ours, along with other religious images (from old calendars etc) in a little box for the kids to use for craft projects. This was so fun and easy, they just painted the wooden ornaments and then used Mod Podge to attach the pictures. I thought they turned out so pretty, and would have loved to have them for our tree, but the kids made them to give to each of their Godparents. 🙂

I find myself saving all of the religious cards because they are so beautiful. Your idea is a wonderful way to use these cards. I think I will do this next year with the grandchildren. Perhaps we will take them to a nursing home or to the elderly sisters at the convent. Thanks for sharing.

How beautiful! Is there a way to PinIt? I have a terrible memory!! Where were the stars purchased?
Thank you so much for your inspiration. May you and your family be blessed by our Lord and His Mother!

Jessica, What a great craft! I think I saw those stars at Hobby Lobby….or it could have been JoAnns. I will have to remember this! Thanks so much for sharing this!

I've looked all over for the stars. Has anyone found them recently either online or in a store? If so, can you tell me what they are "called" other than wooden stars. Thank you!

Yay! I thought I replied telling you to check JoAnn's but for some reason the comment never published?! Anyways, I'm so glad you were able to find them! 🙂

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.
