...defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness
and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world
seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
My 6 year old came up to my husband today and out of the blue handed him a piece of paper. It said, "There is only one Heaven, and there is only one God."
ReplyDeleteThere is hope.
Yes. We need this prayer now more than ever. It's a family favorite that is said daily if not multiple times daily.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this pic, Jessica. It gives me hope for the future. God bless you and your family.
Oh my what a beautiful picture! :) Joining you all in praying for America! Pls. do pray for the Philippines too as we are still fighting against the anti-life bills here! God bless and have mercy on us all!
ReplyDeleteI am beyond words and so sad. As the President Last night was announced his re-elect, my beloved rosary beads exploded in my hands. I don't know if it's because of fear or anger.
ReplyDeleteJessica, what a beautiful prayer to add to your blog today along with your beautiful son's picture. It's a testament that great things come in small packages filled with much love. God bless you and may God have mercy on us.
blessings to you.
Amen.
ReplyDeleteWe can have trust and faith...God will win in the end.
ReplyDeleteNo need to despair - the feast of CHRIST THE KING OF THE UNIVERSE is coming November 27th! HE is our KING!!!!!! Let us keep our eyes fix on HIM - Advent is coming, Christmastide will soon be upon us and our Savior will be our joy!
ReplyDeleteYes, there is still some much to be happy and joyful about. I don't have to look very far! :)
ReplyDeleteI was/am very disappointed with the election results, but it is all in God's hands, and He has a plan. A friend emailed me a link to this article this morning, and it is great:
THE MOST IMPORTANT RESULT IS STILL TO COME
Yes, so true this article. We may be entering an "age of martyrdom" in the West... All that we read and learn about the lives of the saints with our children - are WE ready? Are WE "saints"? My husband is reading "St. George and the Dragon" to my daughter right now - how George stood up to the emperor and was willing to die for Christ - his ONLY King!
DeleteAs Advent will soon be upon us, let us be renewed and penitent in tour anticipated joy that is our ONLY KING, our ONLY SAVIOR - CHRIST OUR KING!
There is SOOO MUCH to be joyful about - we HAVE the opportunity to BE Catholic, to homeschool in this country and let us cherish this - and if it should ever come to pass that we don't have these freedoms, will WE "become saints" for Him?
Yes, Lord! Yes!
Blessings to you and your family, Jessica!
This photo is just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get the angel wings?? They are amazing!
Aren't they!? I actually found them at Target and looked at them twice (two different shopping trips) before actually purchasing them. I loved them, but they were spendy (full price they were $30, but I ended up getting them on sale for around $24). Originally I had planned on making my own, but when I started looking at the cost of white craft feathers, and when my husband was sent on that 2nd first assignment, leaving me on my own with very little time for crafts, I splurged and purchased them. I was SO glad I did! They were even nicer than I thought they would be, looking at the package, and they held up beautifully, even after being worn by a 5 year old! I will definitely be able to re-use them.

Liz mom of 3 :D
Thank you Liz! :) I did not make this costume. The "knight" part of the costume was from Costco last year and the "angel wings" were from Target. You can find many additional saint costume ideas and some links under my label for Costumes. I hope that helps!
DeleteOh how wonderful! Will keep eye on it!
