Caramel Apple Turkey

by | Nov 9, 2012 | Thanksgiving | 11 comments

My online Pampered Chef party will be ending Saturday evening, so there is still a couple days to place an order!

Also, each person that shares a recipe, cooking tip or a blurb about their favorite Pampered Chef product either over on the Facebook event page, or in the comments here, will be entered into a drawing to win a prize, and it doesn’t require placing an order!

I have so many favorite Pampered Chef products I couldn’t possibly list them all, but I thought I’d share a picture of one of the kitchen tools I used today to make a fun snack for my kiddos.

It only took me about 5 minutes to make this fun Caramel Apple Turkey (inspired by an image I saw on Pinterest, but I was unable to find the original source) for an afternoon snack with my Apple Wedger!   (And even less time for my kiddos to gobble it up!)

So cute and I pinned this! I use my PC apple wedger everyday and take it with me on picnics or at the beach to slice apples where we are picnicing! I also use my PC pitcher with the handle mixer to make lemonade and my kids like using both these products! 🙂

That is so cute! I have that apple wedger but I've never been able to get it to cut through apples easily. I must buy the hardest apples or something. Everyone else I know who has it loves it.

I have issues with my apple cutter. I believe for me it has to do with a lack of upper body strength due to back problems.

Yes, I can see that. I always have to use it with my cutting board and I start it at a slight angle to get it started. Most of the time it will cut through easily.

That is so cute! My aboslute favorite PC things are my stones! The 9X13 and jelly roll stones are the best, I use one or both pretty much everyday. I like my pizza stone as well and really enjoyed using it to make that cherry dessert you shared with us some months ago. cindy@kyonline.net

    God bless,

If I had to choose just one thing, the would be my pick. There were many years that I could not have lived (or at least baked decently) without them! My old oven (which was the same age as me – "vintage" as my sister put it!) burned everything, unless I used my stones.

Can you believe I posted that Cherry Cheese Coffee Cake Recipe back in 2008! I love how beautifully seasoned my stone is now. 🙂

I also love making the Candy Cane Coffee Cake on St. Nicholas Day every December, using the Rectangle Stone. Yum! Time to put those ingredients on one of my next couple shopping lists!

"they" not "the" (meaning the stones) would be my pick, too. 🙂

I also love my stones, especially the loaf pan. I also use my wooden spoons daily.

That is so cute! I love my stone bread pans… too bad I don't make much bread these days, lol!

My favorite and most used are my stoneware pans, well worth the money! We have a 9×13, a small bar ban and a muffin pan I love. A bread pan would be great! It makes nice crisp crusts and cooks everything evenly. My runner up are the little pairing knives they have, they are perfect for lots of little things and make wonderful gifts!

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.
