I was just telling her this morning that her your family has donated hair in the past. I've been meaning to find your old posts to share with her!

Way to go, Chiquita! She looks so grown up with her new short hairdo and I bet it will be nice and cool for the summer.

    She says "thank you!"

I was thinking it made her look younger, but maybe that's just because we cut it this short a few years ago!

I really love her hair long, but it's so cute short too, and it will be much easier (and cooler) for the summer.

It looks SO cute! And, looking back at the link of when you took the plunge, I think you also flatter a shorter hairstyle well, too. Any chances of a repeat performance on your end?

Lovely act, beautiful child. She's got such pretty, thick hair, and that shorter length is very complimentary to her. –Danielle

Good Job, Chiquita! She looks so cute either way- short is a pretty change, though. I agree with some of the previous comments- you also look great and more youthful with a shorter 'do.

She looks so beautiful. What a lovely thing to do! I may do this with my daughter's hair if I can get the courage up to get it cut. She's six and has never had even a trim, so the ends are still her baby hair. God bless you both! : )

How sweet, my daughter and I have done that a couple times as well. You both have beautiful hair. I am a homeschooling mom of 5 kids and one more coming in July and I have been asked to do a monthly flier for our parish in Georgia with some of the children's activities we use for feast days and holy days and I was wondering if I can use some of your ideas with links to your blog. I hope that will encourage more readers for you and benefit both our parish and your web site. I would be happy to email you a copy once they are complete. If you could email me, that would be great! Thanks,

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.
