Chiquita had wanted a Flower Fairy Birthday Party ever since seeing the pictures from another little girl's birthday. Even though it was just our family (my mom did stop by for a few minutes) she had a wonderful birthday, complete with some darling Flower Fairy Crowns sent as a gift from Twinkle Toes' new pen-pal who recently had a Flower Fairy Birthday Party too!!
Here are a few more pictures from her special day:
~ Birthday Treats ~
In preparation for Chiquita's birthday, the girls flipped through their cookbooks over and over trying to choose "just two" special treats to make during our party. They ended up choosing the "Fairy Garden Cottages" from the Fairies Cookbook
and "Magic Princess Fairy Wands" from the Pink Princess Cookbook
.

The children all had so much fun decorating their muffins as Fairy Garden Cottages!

One of the local coffee drive-thru chains in our area offers free drinks on your birthday, so we loaded up the car and headed to town. Chiquita choose a Strawberry Smoothie, and was SO excited when they handed her her very own HUGE drink!

Thank you, Charlotte, for the tip on cutting notches into the paper plates to make rolling the wands in the sprinkles a little bit easier!

I just loved the looks of concentration on my boys faces!
Didn't they turn out pretty!?!

Chiquita LOVED her Flower Fairy House Birthday Cake!
~ Birthday Gifts ~
Chiquita received her very own set of Stockmar Crayons
...
... a set of Alphabet and Number Cookie Cutters
...
... cards from her Grandparents and our neighbors and a Flower Fairy Money Jar (aka: Piggy Bank) made by her siblings (their own idea) since she didn't have one yet...
... a darling St. Bernadette doll...
(The feast of St. Bernadette is a few days before Chiquita's Birthday.)
... and a set of Play Silks!
Sigh, she is growing up so fast! Looks like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a wonderful time! I love the wands! My oldest daughter has been wanting to make those for some time now.
ReplyDeleteI've said it often enough, but I must say it again, you are a good momma with a beautiful family! +JMJ+
ReplyDeleteGlad to see everyone had fun. Getting behind is understandable. Enjoy Rose and you'll catch up eventually :)
