On the Solemnity Feast of Mary the Mother of God…

… which was this past Friday, January 1st.

A beautiful, newly blessed, statue of Our Lady holding baby Jesus
Mary, Mother of Jesus by Mary Joslin
Mary: The Mother of Jesus by Tomie DePaola
Mary Mother of God Coloring Page
Blueberry Muffins with a little help from Betty Crocker
(I never did end up making that Blueberry Cobbler Muffins sounded a little bit easier and I’ve been avoiding the kitchen as much as possible!)
Twinkle Toes lost her top right tooth!
(The other top tooth is just barely hanging in there…)
Snuggles loves “coloring” now too!
And one more picture because you’re right, all I’ve been doing is watching, cuddling, and feeding my super hungry cute little baby, who is already growing way too fast!! 🙂

My mom sent me this statue. It is absolutely gorgeous. And so is your little Rose. Happy New Year!

It's now a running joke that I am going to have to buy that same exact Mary sttue myself because it has been on my gift list for over a year now and I still ahven't gotten it. DH just shook his head when I told him you got one, especially already blessed. Looks like a wonderful day. Hope you're getting some sleep.

Rose is soooo adorable! Congrats Twinkle Toes! Such a milestone, the first lost tooth. My oldest has a hard time biting his food when his were falling out. The good news is they don't hurt growing back in 🙂

Oh! That is too funny Robina!!! It was actually on mine forever too, and I finally just ordered it when I was ordering a couple other statues for gifts. =)

House of Fontanini offers free shipping, plus an additional 20% off right now on orders over $50, which made the statue only $35!

Oh, and I had my brother-in-law bless it while he was here for the baptism. =)

Little Rose is just too cute Jessica! Congrats again!
Thanks for all the wonderful pics!
Quick question: I seem to be absolutely incapable to do anything regarding the Liturgical Year when DH is home… It seems that our routine gets completely off… Not in a bad way, but I feel that we miss out on some Saturday and Sunday feast days. Any ideas on how to counter that?

    Thank you!
    God bless,
    Mattie

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.
