Remembering…

by | Nov 19, 2008 | Prayer Request, Requiescat in Pace | 9 comments

You may remember this past summer, I asked for prayers. I would like to share a poem that my sister wrote about:

**If you click over, be prepared to shed a few tears, and please continue to pray, especially for my little brother.

Oh my goodness, I am crying so hard!! That was amazingly beautiful. Mary is so talented, isn’t she?

Goodness, God is so present (of course.)

I was *JUST* thinking about that prayer request of yours this week!!! While it is sad to know the outcome, heaven is our goal.

Hope that your little brother and his wife, the whole family, has felt the comfort of God’s nearness everyday since.

Thanks for posting the link to this. Not all families are made in the image we think they should be but the child should never be punished because if this. Be sure to tell your brother to talk about his feelings…staying silent and pretending to be ok only makes the wound fester more. I pray that he and {a} are able to find peace~I can only imagine their heartache!

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.
