"Baptism is the sacrament that gives our souls the new life of sanctifying grace by which we become Christians, children of God, and heirs of heaven...
...Baptism is necessary for the salvation of all men, because Christ has said: "Unless a man be born again of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."
Loving God, Creator of all good things,
Thank you for the gift of life given to our godchild.
What a privilege it was for us to stand as witnesses for the Church
when our godchild was washed in baptismal waters.
Lord, help us to be faithful to you all the days of our lives.
As our godchild grows in age and faith,
enable us to be a good example for her
of how to live as a follower of Jesus.
Through our love and concern, in moments of joy and sorrow,
allow us to reveal your loving face, O God.
That last picture is so beautiful of you two! I love it. :)

It was a lovely baptisim and after party. Hubby and I are still cracking up about when you asked Father to bless the meal and he said, "What I need is a fork!" lol He didn't hear you, I am sure, but it was so funny!
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree, that last one is frame worthy!
Ah! Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteThat WAS funny, wasn't it Amy?!
Get a frame. A beautiful picture. What a blessing. Between my husband and I we have 6 Godchildren to pray for and love.
ReplyDeleteChristine ~ Madeleine makes 6 Godchildren for my husband and I as well! Plus I am also Godmother to my youngest brother... (So this was #7 for me.)
ReplyDeleteIn the past we always seemed to be blessed with a child of our own right before or after being asked to be Godparents, so we were wondering this weekend if God might have another one in store for us, or not! :0)
Oh, how beautiful!
