The Simple Woman’s Daybook ~ July 21

FOR TODAY

Outside my Window… there are lots of small pieces of water balloons to pick up, someday. I’m so glad that at least the Grenade ones are biodegradable!☺

I am thinking… that the summer seems to be going by SO FAST this year. Is it just me, or do you all feel that way too?

I am thankful for… my camera, and all the photos that my hubby will be able to see when he gets home next week.

From the kitchen…there is a little bit of cake leftover from yesterday, and not much else. I am hoping to get to the grocery store soon. In the meantime, I am going to half to be creative!

I am creating… this blog post… and that’s about it, for the moment.

I am going… to try and sleep in just a few minutes.

I am wearing…my jammies.

I am reading… some information on this awesome Air Purifier that my dad loaned me for a couple days. It is suppose to eliminate over 99% of the odors and airborne germs and bacteria in the home! I am interested in anything that helps us stay healthier after this past year of being sick all the time!

I am hoping… that I will have a chance sometime this week to sit down and plan out next years curriculum.

I am hearing…the sound of the keys on the keyboard, and the hum of the air purifier. All my children are sleeping.

Around the house… I have some dishes and laundry to catch up on, but it’s not too bad. I also am hoping to get to the girls room and start sorting all their clothes.

One of my favorite things… is the big huge nighttime hugs and kisses that my children give me before they go to bed, multiple times! ♥

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week

  • Have some friends over Tues-Wed.
  • Auditory Processing Class for Captain, Tues-Thurs
  • Attend Summer with the Saints on Thursday
  • Celebrate the feasts of St. James and St. Christopher on Friday, July 25th
  • Doctors appointment for Snuggles on Friday. (I also need to take him in to have his blood drawn one more time, since there wasn’t enough from the last time to complete all the tests.)
  • Prepare for another 2 weeks of swimming lessons, beginning next Monday morning

Here is a picture thought (or two) I am sharing:

    HI Jessica!
Your party looked wonderful!!! You are so creative. I second Jamie’s idea for you to send it to Faith and Family. You can also post it on BigBirthdayIdeas.com. Happy belated 8th birthday to your darling son! I bet everyone was dreaming in camo that night. :)You are such a creative and wonderful mommy!
You are all in our prayers, especially for the safe return of your hubby and for good results for Snuggles. Please keep us posted! Rest up when you can and enjoy this speedy Summer!

Yes, I added it yesterday, and, so far, I am really liking it! I do wish the comments would show the pictures/graphics for each person, but other than that, it seems like a more straightforward way of leaving comments. THANKS!

I REALLY like the difference in writing and editing posts! I love that it is so easy to move around photos and resize them after they are uploaded.

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.
