Last week I

My three oldest finished theirs all by themselves... And, my shy little Twinkle Toes, had a few extra and insisted on sending one to her Godmother! "Because, I really like her!" (It will be on its way shortly, Trina!)
Captain, recently studied recipe measurements in his Saxon math, so I asked him and Rascal to get out the rest of the ingredients, and figure out how much of each was needed.
At this point, it was way past bedtime, and so I told the kids (since the cupcakes would need to cool) that they would be able to decorate them in the morning, while I read to them the story of St. Valentine.
Also, I didn't get completely out of making Valentine cards this year... We decided to make one for Jesus and a few to go along with these cupcakes. We used the idea provided in A Year With God. It is such a great way to use the pictures off of those beautiful Christmas cards we were given!
We still need to write on them, but here are a few pictures of the first one:
I hope you all have a very happy Valentine's Day, and that you are surrounded by loved ones!
"A new commandment I give unto you: That you love one another, as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another." -- John 13:34-35
You are a good mom! Maybe I should think of something fun for Valentine's day.... :0
