Anyhow, I've had some of you asking to see pictures of the painted walls, so here you go! :-)
It's not as colorful as I first imagined. . . In fact I was telling our contractors wife that I probably should have chosen a different color for the walls around the fireplace. . . "Perhaps a darker shade of brown!" ;) Anyhow, even though they are very neutral colors, I think they look nice and can't wait to see how it looks when the rooms are all finished.
The tile floors and cabinets are currently being installed and I was really looking forward to it all being completed by the end of the month. However, I just found out that the countertops won't be able to be installed for five weeks. :-( I guess I'm just going to have to keep working on being patient!
Looking great!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear baout the marble delay...maybe someone will cancel and they'll slip you in sooner. Can you ask about that?
All things will feel so new now, enjoy!
Thanks Allison!
ReplyDeleteYes, I did ask for her to call if there was *any way* to get us in sooner. She said she'd be sure to get us in if possible. I spoke with them a couple weeks ago and there was no wait at the time, but all of a sudden they have a ton of work. With how fast time seems to be going, I suppose 5 weeks will be here soon. :-)
I love the color! Great choice. Sounds like it's coming together nicely. Bummer about the countertops :(
ReplyDeleteVery, very nice!
ReplyDeleteJessica,
ReplyDeleteThis is all coming together so nicely and I am so excited for you!

Great color. In a year you'll be glad you didn't pick a more "colorful" color. ;-)
ReplyDeleteSO excited for you! Your family will enjoy your new space SO much! And I understand completely what you're going through, as we patiently await our house to be finished. Hopefully by mid-September. Every little step toward progress is so exciting, isn't it? Like now, the siding on our house is going up! Yay!! =)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Jessica. It's been fun watching the progress. Though I must admit, it brings up reminders of our own remodel (Yielding our current school room). It was a very stressful time for me! I admire the grace and patience that you are reflecting during this process. May God continue to bless you and family:)
ReplyDeleteI went without a kitchen for 2 months and had to wash my dishes in the bathtub! LOL! It always takes longer than planned. Believe it or not, all this waiting will be worth it in the long run. At least it is summer and you can eat outside.
ReplyDeleteThis looks just fantastic!
ReplyDeleteIt looks GREAT Jessica!!!!!
ReplyDeleteJessica- wanted to let you know we did find a deacons's gift for my father. We purchased a beautiful alb for him that has a little bit of silver lining around the hem and sleeves. Gorgeous! We can't wait to attend mass and see him wearing it! Your house is looking amazing!! I can't wait to see what delicious creations await your bloggers as your kitchen is completed. Just think it is too HOT to bake now anyway. You can break in the new kitchen just in time for the fall season!
ReplyDeleteMany blessings!!
LOVE the color! I have it throughout my house too - it goes with anything =)
ReplyDeleteGreat warm colors! Lovely. Can't wait to see your finished product. I am sure you can't either!
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful. Don't worry, soon this will all just be a distant memory!
