Happy Baptismal Day…

… to our dear Goddaughter!

I find it so hard to believe that you are already six years old and celebrating the sixth anniversary of your baptism today…  Where has the time gone?!?

Loving God, Creator of all good things,
Thank you for the gift of life given to our godchild.
What a privilege it was for us to stand as witnesses for the Church
when our godchild was washed in baptismal waters.
Lord, help us to be faithful to you all the days of our lives.

As our godchild grows in age and faith,
enable us to be a good example for her
of how to live as a follower of Jesus.
Through our love and concern, in moments of joy and sorrow,
allow us to reveal your loving face, O God.
We pray this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

**It’s also hard to believe that the little baby girl in my tummy is now almost 6 years old as well AND recently discovered her first loose tooth. Time is going by TOO fast!!

Thank you! I WAS pretty happy!! At this particular baptism, I had *just* been released from MONTHS of bed rest and was so excited not to have to miss another special event! (I had just missed two of my best friends weddings…) I ended up surprising the doctors though and carried Twinkle Toes nearly to term (she was only 10 days early), despite all the pre-term labor. =)

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.
